Good/Better/Best

Body Trimmers

Body hair grooming is one of those things most guys eventually figure out through trial and error—usually with a tool that wasn’t really designed for the job. A beard trimmer can technically handle your chest or groin, but that doesn’t mean it should. Dedicated body groomers are built differently, with skin-friendly blades, grippier handles and heads designed to navigate curves, creases and other areas where one careless move can make for a very unpleasant afternoon. There’s also the hygiene argument: keeping one tool for your face and another for everything below the neck is simply a smarter setup.

Now this isn’t about removing every last hair below your chin. For most guys, grooming is about keeping things tidy—taking down chest hair, cleaning up the underarms or handling more sensitive areas without irritation. So a reliable trimmer needs enough power to get through coarse hair while remaining gentle where the skin is thinner. Wet/dry capability makes cleanup easier, while useful guards let you choose between a close crop and something that looks a little more natural.

Spend more and you generally get better ergonomics, more trimming lengths, longer battery life and specialized shaving heads. But this is also a category where clever design can matter more than a long feature list. We compared a few different approaches to see what you actually gain as you upgrade.

Good

Compact and Intuitive

+ The rounded ceramic blade incorporates a built-in guard designed to help reduce nicks and cuts in sensitive areas

+ Two adjustable combs cover trimming lengths from 2 to 12 mm, which is plenty if your primary goal is simple maintenance rather than ultra-precise sculpting

+ Fully waterproof with an IPX7 rating, so you can use it in the shower and rinse it clean afterward

+ Battery life of up to 60 minutes of cordless runtime with USB-C charging

Lawn Mower 3.0 trimmer, $69.99 / $64.99 by MANSCAPED

Better

V-Shaped for Smoothness

+ The rounded-edge “Skin Protective Blade Technology” and V-shaped head is designed to reduce irritation on thin, sensitive skin while handling awkward contours and hard-to-reach areas

+ A skin guard covers especially sensitive areas, while an adjustable comb lets you control length across the chest, arms and legs

+ IPX7 waterproof construction means it works in or out of the shower and can be rinsed directly under the faucet

+ Battery life provides about 50 minutes of cordless trimming with minimal charging time

Body Groomer trimmer, $114.99 / $104.98 by Panasonic

Best

A Complete System

+ The interchangeable setup gives you both a conventional trimmer and a 2D-flexing foil shaver that follows your body’s contours for a closer finish without irritation

+ Eleven settings spanning 0.2 to 7 mm offer considerably more control than the other two models

+ There’s also a handy and ergonomic foldable back attachment that extends your reach, making it possible to handle any grooming job that normally requires assistance

+ Battery life up to 120 minutes of runtime, plus a charging stand and travel lock

7000 Series trimmer, $89.99 / $79.96 by Philips Norelco

Noah reworks the classic 1960s coach's jacket, swapping the usual nylon shell for pure wool melton lined in plaid twill, with a corduroy collar and Barbour-style snap throat latch. It keeps the elastic cuffs and drawstring waist of the original while upgrading materials for cold-weather wear. The jacket (available in both navy and brown) is part of of Noah’s Autumn/Winter '26 collection, which just dropped.
