Buying Guide

A Smart, Stylish Winter Investment

Some hats can be tricky to pull off. But not a beanie. The humble knit hat, also known as a stocking cap or watch cap, is a stylish and supremely cozy winter accessory that has never let anyone down. Comfortable and stretchy, it never looks out of place, adapting perfectly to suit various personal styles and types of hair. A knit cap can be merely a fashionable topper, it can be solution to a bad hair day, or it can live up to its fullest potential and protect all those sensitive nerve endings in your head from the brutal cold of winter.Of course, not all beanies are created equal—which is why it's imperative to find one that suits your tastes, personal temperature preferences and desired coziness. You'll be wearing this all winter, right on top of your head, so yes, it's a piece worth spending a little money on. To help you narrow down the best of the best, we've pulled together four of our favorites to buy right now, in a range of styles, yarns and price points.

5 Stylish
Soft Services Theraplush hand cream

Winter is notoriously tough on skin. And our hands take the most abuse, right? I wish I were better about applying hand cream, but I never really remember throughout the day. Which is why I'm glad Soft Services is re-introducing their popular overnight repair hand cream on January 9, Theraplush ($62). They not only re-engineered the formula (which coats hands and gets to work softening and conditioning the skin so you wake up with noticeably improved hands), but they improved on the container, too. The clever vessel looks like a piece of pottery, but pull the magnetized top off and it reveals a secret pump—press down and it dispenses the perfect serving of lotion to rub in before you crash.

The Launch
