As you probably know, the legendary GAT began as a training shoe for the West German Army, but its clean lines and gum sole eventually made it one of menswear’s most enduring sneaker silhouettes. Made by third- and fourth-generation shoemakers, it combines wholecut calf leather construction with overlays cut from shell cordovan produced by Japan’s legendary Shinki Hikaku tannery.

Crown Northampton applies the traditions of English shoemaking to decidedly modern sneakers. Your pair will be hand-stitched to order, and the team will personally consult with you on sizing to ensure an ideal fit. Each shoe is finished with a full vegetable-tanned leather lining and insole, then set on a soft Lactae Hevea sole that can be replaced after years of wear.
